What do you use the AG trunks for?

I have Samantha's and Molly's and get frustrated because it is cumbersome to store everything in them. Their complete collections do not fit (DH's idea was to "just get two more")

I also have Kit's. Addy's and Kirsten's.

These are more practical and almost all of the items I have for these girls fits in. My DD can use them to play with and she does not worry about having to hang everything. These to me are the better buy. I acually use them in my home as decorative items and my swedish neighbor actually thought Kirsten's was an authentic antique miniature. LOVE THAT!!!

Does anybody have the Josefina trunk? Do you like it? I wish the top was flat so that I could display things on it.

I love the trunk. I think it's so beautiful but I have never seen it in person. Is it as beautiful as it looks in the web and the catalog? Does most of Josefina's stuff fit inside?

I have a trunk like Molly's and the yellow AGOT flower armoire. They are used to store outfits and shoes. I still have to store the accessories and extra stuff in a large under the bed rubbermaid box. I am thinking about trying to get Samantha's trunk or starting to use the ziplock bag system that Chauster described since the trunks do not hold everything. The dolls go to sleep in their beds and are displayed. We have never put the doll in the Molly type trunk, although she would fit. Our dolls just stay home, but if you took your dolls over to a friend's house, you might want to put her in a trunk to keep her clean and safe during the transportation.

I plan to get Kirsten's, Addy's, and Josefina's definitely. Maybe Samantha's if I could get a good deal on it through ebay. I've seen Sam's in person and it would store my Sam collection, but I don't plan to buy all her stuff. I don't think it has nearly enough storage to hold all of Sam's collection, but maybe a bit over half. It would have been better, IMO, if they had made all drawers rather than those two big shelves, since I don't like the idea of things falling out of the shelves into the closet part. I actually had a Sam trunk from ebay for about two days, but sold it before Christmas because I had to make an emergency sleigh purchase- LOL. I'd rather have the sleigh, but I'm a horse nut.

Kirsten's, Addy's, and Josefina's seem more practical to me for storage, and I love that they are wood and look like miniature antiques. They're gorgeous. I just love boxes anyway and I have lots of antique ones of metal and wood from various eras that I currently use to store doll shoes, hair ribbons, etc.

I have a homemade version of Kirsten's trunk, without the divided compartments and tray and it holds all of Kirsten's clothes, Addy's clothes and some accessories!

Okay! You guys have convinced me! I will purchase Josefina's trunk sometime this year. I might give it to myself for my birthday in September [img]wink.gif[/img]

The other one that I like is Kit's. Maybe next year I will get that one. Or maybe later this year [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]
